How to Fold Your Camping Screen House

Packing up your camping screen house doesn’t have to be frustrating. This guide will walk you through the folding process step-by-step, tailored specifically for screen houses with built-in sunshades. Whether you're wrapping up a day of tailgating, camping, or backyard lounging, follow the video and written instructions below to collapse your pop-up tent easily and safely.

Step-by-Step Folding Guide

Step 1 | Flatten and Arrange Sunshades

Close all mesh doors and windows to keep the frame stable. Lay the screen house flat on a clean surface and gently shake it to release any tension. Unlike other pop-up tents, this model has sunshades on each side—make sure they are fully extended and lying flat before you begin folding.

Tip: Do not let the sunshades roll or crumple underneath—they should be spread out evenly to prevent creases.

Step 2 | Fold Down the Top Section

Gently press the top panel downward until it meets the center mesh area of the tent. This helps shape the structure into a flatter form, making the rest of the fold easier to manage. Refer to the video for the exact location and hand positioning.

Note: Lightly step on the center as shown in the video to hold the tent in place while folding.

Step 3 | Collapse the Front Frame

Push the front section of the frame (labeled "Point A" in the video) downward toward the base. You’ll notice the tent naturally starts to rise on the sides. This tension is normal and helps guide the final circular shape. Be sure to leave about 2–4 inches of space at the edge to reduce strain on the frame.

Tip: Avoid folding from the very center—use the angles shown in the video to preserve the tent’s structure.

Step 4 | Fold the Sides Inward

Next, fold the left and right sections of the tent inward—these are marked as "Points B and C" in the video. Align them toward the center while keeping the base steady. Once aligned, push "Point A" in again to form a tight circle. A little overlap or misalignment is okay. Just ensure the sunshades stay tucked inside during the fold.

Tip: Use your foot to stabilize Point A while folding Points B and C toward it. The video provides a clear visual reference.

Step 5 | Secure and Store

Use the built-in elastic band to keep the tent tightly folded. Then, slide it into its original carrying bag. Double-check that all sunshades are smoothly folded inside to prevent creases or fabric damage during storage.

Reminder: A proper fold ensures a faster setup and extends the life of your pop-up screen house.

Adventure-Ready, Anytime

Now you’re ready to pack up your camping screen house with confidence. Whether it’s a beach day, backyard party, or tailgate weekend, your East Oak pop-up tent is easy to store and always ready for the next escape.
